Court Reporting Research
At present, there are no educational facilities with physical campuses in Connecticut which offer training in court reporting. However, many quality online programs are available to students interested in the court reporting profession. As indicated on the website of the Connecticut Court Reporters Association (CCRA), it is the law in Connecticut that a court reporter be licensed. Thus, proper training is necessary to successfully pass the required examination. The CCRA is not involved in state licensing. Established through the Department of Consumer Protection, the State Board of Examiners of Shorthand Reporters is the entity which is responsible for supervising the examination, licensing, and conduct of shorthand reporters in Connecticut.
